*scratch scratch* I hate creepy-crawlies...

It wasn't easy to look for 'spider eye reference' since I have an extreme arachnophobia. So, I'm not sure if I succeeded XD.

I am studying greek mythology right now (well, exactly I'm doing a thesis about it

) and Arachne is one of the characters that enters on it. I think you did a great work on this portrait, it shows very well the character though from my iconographic point of view you could add some more elements related to her... anyways, very well done, +9

@Aegis: I have to admit, that I choose the title after finishing the painting. So, she's not really related to the mythical Arachne. But I'm fascinated of Greek mythology myself and found the story quite interesting.

I love the textures around the pic and the delicate tangles of web! good job on the face too. She looks a bit like someone froma visual kei band. heheh.

I like your use of colours.
I don't like spiders..bur the add to atmosphere

and I like the txture of webs everywhere)
She hasn't washed her hair for a while,isn't she?^_-
I like her face)
My only crit is lack of detailes at background..her face is owesome but beside it there is a lot of space that is not interesting enough, on my opinion - I think even some hint of clothes or some jevelerry could change the whole picture
