@rifly: not 'cold' as 'coolness' but 'cold' as 'illness' ^^ (though, it's getting quite cold in my area)
@sandstorrm: Lips/no eyes as female fetishistic stylization... that was new to me ^^;; I actually had another symbolization in mind.
Thanks for the hint about the nostrils. I knew something was wrong with the nose, but I couldn't point my finger at it.
@artoonator: Guess I just have to rely on your words, because I never studied the realistic structure of snow for this picture *g*. The face was supposed to be more ice than snow, so it's more smooth and shiny. But I'm not sure, if that's done in a realistic way either ^^;
Also, it's not like a close-up of a normal human sized face, but more like a gigantic sculpture. So, I'm not sure if crystals could be visible at all, since they are really tiny (I tried to show a bit of the structure of snow in the left corner in front, because it's very close to the viewer). Uh well, that's the theory ^^.
